Somerset House, the most spectacular eighteenth century palace in London, is now available for weddings and civil partnerships. Situated on the North bank of the River Thames, Somerset House has views across to the South bank and Palace of Westminster. The building’s grand neo-classical architecture and rich history will lend a priceless setting to these special events of up to 80 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast, 100 for a ceremony only, and up to 150 guests for an evening (standing) reception with dancing.

From initial enquiry to the logistical management of any occasion, we create bespoke events to meet your individual requirements. Recognising the importance of your special occasion in its entirety, the experienced team coordinates all the elements essential to the success of your occasion – from catering, lighting, entertainment to styling, floral design– delivered by accredited event suppliers with impeccable credentials.

Somerset House has recently been granted a wedding and civil partnership licence and we can now host these ceremonies in the Portico Rooms, Navy Board Rooms, Terrace Rooms and Embankment East.
