A London-based Jazz piano/vocal duo featuring Alex Carter on vocals and Paul Kobietowski on piano, Vintage provides an extremely classy retro sound, performing from their extensive repertoire of jazz, swing and bossa.

Profile:

Alex is a stylish, versatile singer, and also a member of “Tiramisu’” voice and accordion duo performing European Cafe Songs and favourites from the Glamour Years. Alex trained at the Royal Academy of Music, and her jazz, cabaret, opera and concert work has taken her throughout the UK and abroad. Paul trained at Warsaw Academy of Music; a highly accomplished, experienced jazz pianist, he is a fine musician with a background as a composer, arranger, sound engineer and music director.

Repertoire :

Vintage repertoire is drawn from the “standard” songs made famous by Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin from the Great American Songbook, by the likes of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rogers & Hart, bossa from Jobim as sung by Astrud Gilberto, and also those numbers with a more European flavour, reminiscent of Katyna Ranieri, and Edith Piaf...
